DHS Hometown Security

The Department of Homeland Security’s National Protection and Programs Directorate (NPPD) has created a centralized web page on www.DHS.gov, called Hometown Security, to make it easier and more efficient for the public to find free useful community tools and resources about security protective measures.

The Hometown Security page(www.dhs.gov/hometown-security) includes existing incident-preparedness tools as well as new resources including the attached fact sheet to help direct small and mid-sized business to free tools and resources.

The webpage was created to assist in the outreach efforts to communities nationwide, to reach small and medium size businesses that attract large numbers of people, including but not limited to restaurants, clubs, grocery stores, places of worship and other venues that enable communities to thrive.

We would encourage you to share this information widely with your constituents to help promote the free tools and resources.
